In the universe of the Undying, human-like conscious beings exist. The beings are embedded with a biological implant that records brain activity. When they die, they can be revived by a machine on the universe that prints a new body based on stored body scans.

So the beings come back to life with their memories intact up until the time of their death.

The ISIS brides are women (citizens) majorly from Western countries who traveled to Iraq and Syria, voluntarily, at the height of the ISIS occupation of both countries, to marry and raise children for ISIS fighters, as well as to assist in the conflict. Currently, they are mostly in camps in Syria and there have been calls for their repatriation back to their home countries.

National public voting is a system in which all eligible citizens of a country, directly vote on a national issue, and the final decision is determined by the choice supported by the majority of voters. In this system, individual votes are combined into a single nationwide outcome, meaning that whatever most people choose becomes the official decision for the entire country.
